Vintage Early 1960s Blue Apple Print White Cotton Sundress / 28.5 waist

A darling vintage novelty print sundress! This late 50s, early 60s dress is made of a lightweight cotton feel fabric, with a blue apple print. You may wish to wear a slip with this one. The dress appears to be skilfully handmade. A subtle sweetheart neckline, wide straps, and a darted bust with a metal zipper at the side to close. The skirt is fairly a-line with two nice deep pockets on the front. Small fabric belt hoops at either side. A really sweet dress with a fantastic print! I took photos with and without a crinoline (**not included) so you can have a good look at the shape.

Vintage, good overall condition, but there are several notes. The dress is structurally sound, with good seams. Alas, there are a few stains which I worked hard to lift, but there remain some faint spots of discolouration in spite of my efforts. I've tried to photograph each one. In addition, there's a small dash of green paint on the skirt, also photographed for your consideration. As my Mum always says, a man on a galloping horse wouldn't notice. :) Everyone has their own threshold for imperfections, so I just try to put it all out there for you to see and let you decide! I just think this dress is too lovely to pass up. If you wanted to make it shorter, you could cut off the bit with the paint, and have a 17-18 inch long skirt. Also, side note: the zipper is closed at the top and bottom. Unusual. But I was still able to get it over my broad shouldered dress form.
