Like many vintage enthusiasts, I am quite keen on reducing waste and supporting sustainable fashion. I love to see older garments be mended and restored, rather than tossed aside in favour of something new. To that end, I spend a great deal of effort to carefully clean, repair and rejuvenate the pieces that I bring in. I am really passionate about choosing what to buy carefully, and taking good care of what I have, and I apply this same energy to my work. When possible, I prefer to pick garments that are made of natural fibres, such as cotton, linen, silk and wool.
Mandrake Vintage is proud to be a part of a community that celebrates mending, re-using, and re-purposing! I only use recyclable or biodegradable packaging. I hope you'll find a way to re-use or recycle the packing materials.
