Stunning 1950s darkest blue hairpin lace dress! This incredible dress features a wide neck and cap sleeves, fitted to the waist. The dress is lined from the top of bust down, which may be difficult to discern in my photos, as I had to pin the dress to my dress form. There is a metal zipper at one side. The lining is nylon or similar. The lace layer is made of silk organdy ribbon. I did manage to trim some loose fibres and burn them to confirm. The dress is handmade, which is an incredible feat. The sheer time investment is mind blowing! An absolutely beautiful heirloom piece. Please see the measurements for best fit!
Vintage, very good condition. I am hard pressed to find any issue. There is the occasional knot where the maker had to tie off and begin a new strand of ribbon, but these are tucked in. Amazing. Carefully cleaned and ready to wear.
