Vintage 1940s Cream Floral Lace Belted Dress / 26 waist

A gorgeous vintage dress, done up in a parchment coloured floral lace. So many charming details, from the Peter Pan collar, to the subtle puff of the sleeves. The pearly buttons and the matching lace belt... such a special dress! It is unlined, though it will look a bit less see-through in the photos, as I had to pin it to the mannequin. The dress buttons at the chest, and has snaps and hook-and-eye closures at the side waist. No tags, so please see the measurements for best fit.

Vintage, very good condition. There are two marks on the inner collar which cannot be seen when worn. They look like rust marks from a wire hanger. One mark does show through a bit on the outside of the dress, but this is hidden by the collar. I have included a split photo of the mark before, and after, with the collar in place. It's worth mentioning that there are two slightly different shades of thread used in this dress. A cream thread that matches the lace, and a slightly darker thread. Perhaps the maker ran out of one shade whilst sewing the dress, or someone made some repairs at some point in time. Not a big deal, but I do like to be thorough. The dress presents beautifully, and is clean and ready to wear!
